Astra 1.0i Turbo eco flex

Hi everybody,

I’m looking at a cheap second car that I will only do around 5K miles a year in so looking at petrol.

I’ve saw a few posts about the 1.0i engine, and its reliability.

Have people ran into problems on cars, looking at a couple of cars with 70K+ miles. Car has a FSH, has anybody ran into problems with these at a higher mileage?

We had a 1.0 T SRI for about 2-3 years as the wifes car, she did around 12k miles on it, was around 76k when we sold it and had plenty of life left in it. Only sold it I came across something I couldn't get out of my head.
We had no issues with it at all.
Really economical, Sport button was really good.

Brilliant car to pottering about locally and punchy enough to effotlessly cruise at 70mph on longer motorway journeys.

Found that tech was probably a bit lacking, and in comparison to our previous Astra J it felt a little light and not as well built but no issues at all, would happily buy another one.

Only issue we had was the back lights where the wires and board needs changing, easy fix for a DIY'er, and only cost about £30 to fix.
