Just curious as to what music / radio stations people are listening to in their cars....

With me, a mix of BBC Radios 2, 6 and Scotland part of the time.

The rest of the time, Deezer app playing albums from my phone. Dire Straits Brothers in Arms may possibly be one of the more often played ones.
Emerald Green. Oooh, shiny.

Thanks, Dirk!

Normally I listen to Radio X, Radio 6 or Absolute as I'm a bit of an 'Indie boy', despite my advancing years.

My playlist includes stuff by the Palma Violets, the XX, Awol Nation, Sigur RÓs, Zola Jesus, the Brianjonestown Massacre, Editors, Lykke Li and a couple of bands whom I've only recently discovered, the Neon Violets and the Gnoomes

Not to everyone's taste, I know :o ;) especially my other half's. She listens to Smooth Radio, so that says it all!

6 Music or 5 Live, unless it's Ken Bruce on Radio 2. Mostly music from my phone on random, which is mainly punk or punk tinged folk type stuff.

At the moment, it is pretty much whatever comes on next. I've got my downloaded Spotify playlist on shuffle so who knows what it will be LOL
It can be quite a surprise what it plays next!

Radio 2 or Planet Rock for me, although the Planet Rock comes through a bit bass light. Other than that it's my iPod with a lot of 70's and 80's rock and metal, along with some classical.

Absolute Radio or Talk Sport, too many different types of music to give examples but often just put the phone on shuffle.

Thanks for all the contributions, so far!

Don't listen to Planet Rock very often, but I agree there isn't much 'oomph' in the lower registers!

On that point, I think the standard sound system is pretty good in the 'K'. What does everyone else think?

Obviously, there are thousands of potential tracks that can test out the bass, but I particularly like listening to 'Intro' by the XX or a very obscure track called 'Paper Trails' by Darkside, for example, they sound amazing in the car! A health warning, however: much of the music I enjoy makes Leonard Cohen sound positively cheerful ;) ;)
