Check out ford 150 eco engine ...astra wins hands down. If 200bhp engine is quieter...I don't belive it.
Didn´t mean to offend all the nice 1.4t owners, but was just the experience i got on that one test drive.

I really like the dual exhaust and a red turbo logo
it is also a reason to buy a 1.6 T 200

Think I may upgrade to the 1.6T in 2017...I am amazed at the reviews on here compared to the old Astra J which got slated..based on the astra J reviews is the reason I didn't go with the 1.6T but the sidi is actually doing same mpg as the old 1.6 n/a and is only a few quid dearer to insure than the 1.0T...pity the car tax isn't £20 thought lol :?

The 1.6 200PS turbo is a real Q car.

Having just run mine in, I put my foot down for real for the first time. A cloud appeared in my rear view - just cleaning the exhaust I thought - then I noticed the tyres were spinning in second briefly - then gripping and everything was getting very much smaller in the rear view - very quickly.

Surprisingly little drama and no torque steer as Astras used to do - just be careful how quickly you feed that power in!

Tell me about it! :)

Excuse the less than subtle, 'lavatorial' reference, but I've been close to needing to have to change my underwear when I've put my foot down in my car and, don't forget, I used to have a Subaru Impreza 2.0 litre Turbo!!

All in all, the 200 PS 'K' is pretty impressive! :D :D

So, what about the 'GSi' model? Would it only be available with the 1.6T? What about a BiTurbo version? Or would it also be available in lesser engines too?
