hi guys just purchased an ASTRA SRI TURBO 150 PS NAV IN summit white to replace my ALFA ROMEO GUILLETTA MULTIAIR 170 PS I very rarely buy the same car twice allways like something different so really happy with this car have driven it for a few weeks now and find it really smooth and certainly enough power there for me gears are silky smooth compared to my ALFA been reading some of the posts and hope to add some of my own in the future .cheers :D

Welcome! :)

Another Astra K 'love affair' begins!!

It's good to hear you think that the Astra's gearbox is better than the Alfa's. They normally have a reputation for being very smooth in that regard. Praise indeed! :D :D

We still have our Giulietta in the family, my son's car now. A lovely car which can only be described as being from a different generation
Still, you can't call yourself a petrol head unless you have owned and Alfa, I have had four, does that make me an idiot?

Thanks for all the welcome comments yes they say you should at least own an ALFA once in your life lol. :) had mine for 3 1/2 years and it never needed any repairs ,was a real rocket when in the dynamic mode . it was one of the earlier models so was needing a big service timing belt done etc.etc also western in Edinburgh have closed the ALFA ROMEO dealership ,they were very good ,now nearest dealer would have been western in Glasgow which is 90 miles away from where I live . so would have been a pain if I wanted to keep it with dealer service history .TBH the ASTRA feels a nicer car to drive wife and I are both delighted with it got an excellent deal on it also it had only 7000 mls on when I bought it and not a mark on it just looks like new .looks lovely in the summit white to .
