I thought that these are only for sports tourer since hatchback doesn't have those flex organizer bars. From that photo I can't tell what are those nets attached to, as far as I know there aren't any points to attach net apart from those hooks in the floor corners.

So I've found and bought this net on ebay and its most likely the one on the photo mentioned earlier. Suprisingly it holds really well on the side of the trunk even though it's only attached by velcro.

Open up the roof lighting segment.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, could you expand on how the light segment opens so as not to break any clips, how you decided which wires to connect etc.

Assuming your segment is the same as in my vehicle.

If you insert a flat bladed driver into the rear driver side of the panel (nearest to your head whilst driving) and pull down gently it will then unclip 4 clips located within. Then just bring the panel down and disconnect the wiring so you can get to it. The wiring should be the same across the range. Mine is the first edition SRI of the K range. I did the cabling by determining voltages with a meter. Took about 30 minutes to sort it all out.

Then its a case of run the cabling where you wish to, mine is ran through the headliner and down the side pilar. All wiring terminates under the console by removing the side panels next to the footwells. They just clip on.

Any more help just ask :)

I appreciate it buddy, I'm just waiting for my car to return from the garage then I'll attempt it and I'm sure I'll be asking more questions.

A couple more questions have crept up.

1: do the footwell lights fade out with the interior lights and can you turn them off with the roof liner switch as you wound with the other interior lights?

2: do you have a picture of your boot LED strip so I can see where its fitted, where the wiring is running from existing light.

3: same with the 2nd boot light you installed on the opposite side regarding a line of where you run the wire.

I've asked a lot I know so I apologise in advance but hope you can help.

Thank you

How on earth do you remove the bulb from the boot light holder, it's surrounded by the metal frame and my fingers can't get in the tight area, there must be another way?

Yeah those bulbs are hard to replace. Try using something thin like a screwdriver, put it between those metal contacts at the bottom of the bulb and push it out.
